BAY COUNTY, FL- All Bay County Tax Collector offices will be closed Friday, December 23 through Friday, December 30. Normal business operations will resume, Monday, January 2at 8 a.m. Citizens are encouraged to schedule appointments for services requiring in-person visits. Many services can be accessed online during the closure at BayTaxCollector.com.

“Our office like many has experienced a significant shortage of employees over the last year.  Our team has worked incredibly hard to serve citizens with excellence even though we are short-staffed.  This year I’m giving my team a much-deserved break by closing the office for a few extra days so they can travel to be with their families. We have many avenues in place for customers to pay their property taxes and still obtain the December discount. We’ve streamlined services to offer as much as possible online,” said Bay County Tax Collector Chuck Perdue.

During the office closure, a number of services are available online at BayTaxCollector.com. Additionally, a self-service vehicle registration renewal kiosk is available at Publix on 23rd Street to renew and print registration renewals.

“Online payment is very easy and customers no longer have to worry about paying additional fees online when they utilize the bank account/e-check feature,” said Perdue. “Additionally, we have after-hour drop boxes at each location for non-cash property tax payments and registration renewals for those individuals who want to hand deliver their payments. Tax payments postmarked by December 31st will receive the 3%discount. For those customers who need to see us to complete a transaction, we encourage customers to make appointments and join the line remotely to minimize their lobby wait, these options can be accessed online at BayTaxCollector.com.
